John Mango, President
John F. Mango is retired from the FDNY. Prior to his retirement, John worked in the High-Rise Unit in the Division of Fire Prevention. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Science from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City. John founded Quality Fire-Protection Consultants Inc. in 1983. The company is responsible for assisting nearly 500 building owners and managing agents in complying with local fire codes.
Anthony G. Mango, Esq., General Counsel
Anthony Mango serves as General Counsel to Quality Fire-Protection Consultants, Inc. He has been an attorney in private practice since 1993. Anthony provides legal counsel to the management staff of Quality Fire-Protection, particularly in the areas of Local Law 5 and Local Law 26 and their applications in the New York City real estate industry. Anthony holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Saint John’s University, as well as a JD from Saint John’s University School of Law.
Robert Mullin, Director, Quality Training Institute
Robert J. Mullin is a retired New York City Fire Captain. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Science from John Jay College in New York City. Bob has been with Quality Fire-Protection Consultants Inc. since 1989. He was instrumental in starting Quality Training Institute, which has trained Fire Safety Directors since 1990 and Emergency Action Plan Directors since 2005.
Thomas J. McMaster, Operations Manager
Thomas J. McMaster joined Quality Fire Protection Consultants Inc. in 1994 as a consultant. Prior to his employment at Quality Fire Protection, Thomas was a member of the FDNY until his retirement in 1994. During the last two years he was with the FDNY, Thomas served in the Fire Safety Education Unit Speakers Bureau. Thomas was promoted to Assistant Operations Manager in 2002 then to Operations Manager in 2010. He is responsible for handling clients’ Fire Department violations, the fire extinguisher portfolio, Building Department and Fire Department code inquiries, and overall customer relations.
Glenn Cartwright, Operations Manager
Glenn joined Quality Fire Protection Consultants Inc. in 2006 as a consultant and was promoted to Operations Manager in 2010. Glenn is a retired Fire Captain from the FDNY. While with the Fire Department, he served as an instructor for the Tactical Training Unit at NYC Fire Academy. He instructed all members of FDNY on all aspects of proper and safe firefighting procedures. He also served as an instructor for the First Line Supervisors Training Program –instructing newly promoted Lieutenants of FDNY and Fire Officers of the State of New York. His duties at Quality include coordinating the preparation of all fire safety and evacuation plans, violations, consulting clients and conducting on-site preparation classes for Fire Safety Directors.
JOHN LAFEMINA, Operations Manager
John joined Quality Fire Protection Consultants Inc. in 2009 as a consultant and was recently promoted to Operations Manager. John is a retired Battalion Chief from the FDNY where he served for more than 27 years. His duties at Quality Fire Protection include scheduling and training the consultant staff, consulting duties, and conducting building surveys for fire code compliance.
RAY EHRET, PLANNING UNIT DIRECTOR
Ray Ehret joined Quality Fire Protection Consultants Inc.’s Planning Unit in September 2014. Ray was promoted to Planning Unit Coordinator in July 2017. Ray’s roles at QFPC Inc. involve preparing and submitting FSPs and FS/EAPs to the FDNY for review and acceptance, preparing Residential FEPGs, consulting with prospective clients, preparing proposals, and assisting with clients’ Certificate of Fitness Applications and On-site Requests. Ray also oversees the day-to-day functions of the Planning Unit.
Megan Siu, Office Manager
Megan joined Quality Fire Protection Consultants Inc. in May of 1990 as a bookkeeper. She has since advanced to being the Office Manager and Controller of the company. Megan is also in charge of the registration for the Quality Training Institute.
